Hey, i m having a tactile issue with my iPhone 12 Mini
I noticed a dust under my tempered glass after i have removed a clear case for another one
So i wanted to remove it, unfortunately i didnt manage to do it, that why i put some water spray (flacon bottle) on the tempered glass
I swiped water bubbles out
After that, i realized some tactile responsiveness issue, especially in the middle of screen
For example when i m trying to unlock my phone (with mask, you know it)
Right on "5"
I need to press again
Same for app icons right in middle
I removed case but it doesnt seem to fix the issues, i m pretty confident case doesnt modify anything with the tactile responsiveness
So i wonder if its because of water spray under tempered glass?
its from ESR, i m gonna order another tempered glass
Or its common touchscreen issue and not related to tempered glass?
i ve seen in early days, some 12 Mini having this issue
I am on the latest version of iOS 14.3
Thanks

Its just water spray, i hope so too
Normally iPhone 12 Mini has IP68 right?

Using water is never a good idea, use the wipes provided only as that evaporates.

Its because of water, had the same issues with my 12 mini, took about few days or up to week before it settled down to imho normal sensitivity.
I dont know of any other legit way of removing dust thats stuck onto the sticky underside of tempered glass other than rinsing it with water and sometimes doing the same with phones screen when there just seems to be too much dust around so that wipes just dont do it in that situation anymore.
Tho never had such enourmous sensitivity dead zones on a phone before when applying the same method like on my 12 mini.
Hope yours dries/evaporates soonish.

Oh thanks, my new tempered glass come tomorrow
Should i let my iPhone drying fews days before applying new tempered glass?

No reason to do so, just dont use any water this time around. And the issue was with water/moisture trapped under screen protector when doing whet application. The moisture between iPhones screen and tempered screen protector is what causes malfunction un touch input not being “felt” by the phone.

I replaced it by new tempered glass, tactile responsiveness issue has gone
Just following carefully ESR instructions, cleaning and wiping off with fiber cloth, get dust with adhesive sticker, nothing more
Its like day and night, like playing game at 30 fps and 60 fps
I do not using water spray under tempered glass anymore
I was thinking to call Apple and send my iPhone for repair before making this thread
Glad to hear someone else having exact same issue, really appreciated for sharing your own experience VaruLV
I hope this thread might be useful for anyone who encounters same issue
Cheers
