how big of a difference would it be going form 12 mini to 16 pro? I find I have to recharge mid day on the 12 mini. using GPS drains it hard. When I do day trips or have to work 15 hours days, I have to also carry an external battery to charge up the phone. How would the 16 pro be for me? Would really like to have a phone with realistic all day battery.

my scenarios are work travel where im on the go, jump on planes, use some gps, use Ubers, look stuff up on phone during a 12 hour outdoor event.

But I do love having the 12 mini with no case in my tight pants pocket or one hand use when im out for a run.

You’re gonna get a big bump with the 16 Pro. 12 mini was notorious for poor battery life. While the 13 mini was an improvement, it still lagged behind its full-fledged counterparts. 16 Pro should last you all day. If you’re particularly heavy on it one day, turn on power save at your discretion (such as when you get low) and you should make it. It’s gonna be night and day.

Yes, it'll be a gigantic improvement. Depending on what you do, a 12 hour outdoor event might be stretching even the Pro's battery though.
