Following are some shots I was able to take with both phones before I had to trade in the 12 mini. These are 100% crops from Photoshop. In all cases the 12 is on the left and the 13 is on the right. Some of the shots were in full light, others were in the dark, just before sunrise. For the shot of the edge of the pool it was way before sunrise. The better lit dog shots were in portrait mode. Wish I had the phone a bit longer to test the ultra wide angle lens.

The camera on the 13 surprised me. I was expecting it to do better in low light but it seems to resolve more detail even in good lighting.

I can very clearly see more detail in the 13 shots...even in full light but especially in the low light shots. Not a huge surprise but nice to see nevertheless.

There was a new created :https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/photos-taken-with-iphone-13-13-mini.2313656/ Maybe we can all post pictures in there and see the different types of details in the shots between dark mode, light mode etc.

i want to get one, but would love to see how the photos look
Yeah, I guess my purpose was more to highlight differences between the 12 and the 13. I think all iPhones over the past few years take awesome photos...the differences over the years being very incremental and mostly in low light improvements. Being a photographer myself it still amazes me the quality of photos you can get from a cell phone camera.

Interesting. I honestly cannot tell a difference which is surprising
The mini 12 photos on the left side of the pool & boat, twilight shots are slightly more grainy due to the smaller sensor. other than that, the others look the same to me
