Hi!
I was wondering what you consider to be the best clear case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I currently own the official MagSafe Apple clear case, but I was wondering if there are any better alternatives. Preferably compatible with the MagSafe charger (I realize that not many clear cases come with the MagSafe magnet ring, but hopefully some are still compatible with MagSafe because they are thin enough).
I have seen the Otterbox symmetry clear case and the Gear4 Crystal Palace in real life. Does anybody have any experiences with these cases in particular? I read that some people complain that the otterbox case is too tight this year, that it yellows fast and scratches too easily. As for the Crystal palace case, it’s been hard to find any good reviews, but I imagine that I would find the little orange logo dot(s) a little distracting.
I hope to get some feedback.

Sorry to bump this thread, but are there no recommendations for clear cases, or is the Apple MagSafe clear case the best out there? I must say that I haven’t read much positive about that case either - at least in this forum.. I’ve been quite satisfied with it, except for the big white “stickman”, a slight rainbow effect when viewed from certain angles and occasional dust getting into it.. any opinions on the Apple case vs other clear cases.. I thought perhaps someone in here would have experiences with the clear Otterbox symmetry at least, at that seems to be quite popular (in particular the all black version)

Although it doesn't come with MagSafe or any protection, my favorite is the Totallee Clear (Soft). The buttons are nice, doesn't add any bulk, and doesn't hurt my pinky.

I really enjoy Tech21's Evo Clear case for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Buttons are very tactile and feel great. Can't comment on the MagSafe aspect, as I don't own one of those chargers.

Hard to beat the Caudabe Lucid Clear...nothing clearer IMO and after a lot of research, it's the one I purchased.

I’ve read across these forums that ESR do a decent clear case but unsure if that includes MagSafe or not.

Thanks for all the replies so far - seems like I have quite a few to check out 😊 additional question: has any of you also got the official MagSafe Apple clear case, so you can compare your suggestions with the “original” (pros and cons)

Wow, that one looks cool - how is it compared with the original Apple MagSafe clear case?
Can’t help there have never had the Apple one, buttons are good, not slippery, magnet is strong, does smudge on the back but not too bad, a bit bigger than the Apple leather case.
Still prefer the black apple leather case.
I got the Esr for free so can’t complain, a lost postage refund that arrived after 3 weeks.

I returned the apple clear case because of the unbearably hard buttons and fingerprints.
you should have better luck with other clear options if you value button tactility.
buy with returns and that’s your best way to decide

I just this morning dropped my phone in this case and the back smashed - it’s hard plastic on the back with no shock absorption and I wouldn’t recommend it.

For me, there is only one worth it…Apple clear case.

The ESR one is not good. I have it on my wife’’s phone. Fit is OK. Not very tight. Dirt gets into the back easily. Nothing really special. Buttons are nice...that’s about it.

i purchased the following:

Threebees
Torras
Spigen Liquid Crystal
Ringke Fusion
Spigen Ultea Hybrid
Casekoo

I ended up keeping the Casekoo because I felt it had the overall advantage in: clearness, grip-ability, corner air pockets and slimness. Most clear cases add bulk to the sides which rounds it off or makes the 12MP feel way too big in hand, and i have large hands. YMMV

Looking for a new clear case. Does the Casekoo have TPU? I've always experienced yellowing on any TPU case I've ever bought.

PC cases don't yellow, but they tend to be really slippery. Still looking for the perfect clear case.

I’ve had Casekoo on my 12 Pro Max and my 12 Mini since launch. If there’s been yellowing it’s so slight; it would honestly be hard to see on my gold phone and green phone due to their warm tones. I really like these cases.

Normally I’ve used Caudabe Lucid clear but with the redesign to flat edges I found my early production run versions really hard to take off or put on and two were not properly fitted and scratched my daughter’s 12 Pro. However Caudabe was responsive to my complaint and gave me codes for significant discounts on future purchases to make up for it. They’re a good company and their cases and screen protectors have protected our iPhones from nasty accidents. They got my defective cases back and assured me they’d work to correct the fit so I would imagine they’ve done so.

However, I’m happy with Casekoo for now. I like to switch cases around and Casekoo is easier to remove.
