It has the same iPhone 12 pro Max size
Each magnet from the 8 magnet can hold 3,6 kg
The little magnets can 2,7 kg hold
So....it is very strong:))))

I bought this one.

Took a while to get here, but I'm really happy with it.

Got this to power it (with a Monoprice USB C cable). The mount came with a USB A to USB C cable, but wasn't sure if that would deliver as much power.

The magnets on the charger hold the phone well, though they didn't work through the cheap non MagSafe clear case I had, so I went and got an Apple Silicone one and it holds solidly. The mount came with both car vent and suction cup mounting brackets. I'm quite pleased. It even lights up the MagSafe animation when connected to my iPhone 12 Pro. Haven't tested the Watts delivered, but it holds/gains charge while using GPS on my phone, so that's my main concern. I don't have the Max iPhone, but think it would hold solidly as well...I've had no issues over bumps, etc.

I also have been using a CPlay2Air adapter for CarPlay, so now I have a super convenient setup in my car.

Are they worth it i've been on the fence for awhile?

It works pretty well in my 2017 Volkswagen Passat. I've heard it's somewhat dependent on which carmaker's system it's tied to. Occasionally it crashes and reboots. It has seemed to get more stable over time. I would sometimes have issues with wired CarPlay as well and have to force restart the car radio. I personally like it.

There is a very slight delay in audio that I notice if I hit start/pause on my phone, it takes a small time to register on the car. I don't make a lot of calls while I drive, but I haven't noticed it being overly annoying to have a conversation even with the tiny delay.

What is the best option right now that works with the 12 Pro Max in an Apple Silicone case?

Zeera works great! I have this one and love it.

Zeera has its issues:

Magnetic Strength not great
Device you are using is a determining factor on hold
Angle of magnet and phone
Case you are using or skin

In my case using iPhone 12 Pro Max with Apple MagSafe Leather has light hold. I does hold fair but a pot hole and its on the floor board.

12 Pro and Mini with Apple MagSafe leather all good so the weight is an issue.

I have a close to vertical mount. If I move to a 30 degree angle all of the above hold fine. Also worth noting the Apple Leather MagSafe is slick out of the box. After 1 month it has patina'd enough its no longer slick.

Still waiting on something holding as well as the Apple MagSafe charger.

I disagree. I am in the same boat as you folks. I visited this forum and decided to order the Zeera MagSafe car vent charger. I received it after about 2 weeks and the magnets were really weak to hold the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I went over a pot hole and the phone fell on the ground. This is all without any case on the phone. I contacted Zeera and uploaded a video with the concern and they sent me another piece. There was nothing changed. The magnets in the charger just doesn't hold the phone securely.

Sorry that this isn’t working for you. I’ve been using mine daily since my original post. We live in rural NH with very bumpy and frost heaved roads. Mine has been totally secure to this holder. Now this is with an Apple MagSafe case on my phone. I’m still super happy with this holder/charger.

I see. I guess I just received 2 bad products in that case. I have attached a video to explain what I was talking about.

That really stinks. I see what you mean. I bought two of these - one for me and one for my husband. Both hold securely.
Ahhhhh. I looked back through your posts - yours is the Max, right? My husband has the 12 and I have the 12 Pro. Might just be the Zeera isn’t able to hold the heavier Max.

That's what I have. I tried the ESR Halolock dash mount and it shook far too much for my liking. Keep in mind with my dash setup I had the arm fully extended so that played a role too. Perhaps less shaking if you don't need to extend that arm as much.

I'm now using an iOttie Easy Mount 5 dash mount. Honestly I don't see the appeal of magnet mounts besides not having to touch anything to mount or dismount. The iOttie locks the side arms in place automatically. So we are talking about pressing two buttons at the same time to dismount. Not exactly a lot of effort compared to a magnet mount.

Also the iOttie (and many traditional mounts) will lock your iPhone in place to prevent shaking during travel. It really bothers me to see my iPhone rattle while I drive (which was the case with the ESR mount).

For me - the appeal of the magnetic mount/charger is to take full advantage of the MagSafe feature.

I had a magnetic holder for my old phone and had to put a metal piece inside my case. With the 12 Pro I initially had no intention of getting anything MagSafe related. However when my old car magnetic holder wouldn’t securely hold my new phone, I figured I’d kill 2 birds with one stone - MagSafe holder/charger. I couldn’t be happier.
