iPhone 12 Pro Max leather case peeling!

I agree. I have this year’s saddle brown case for my mini and it’s aged horribly. I’ve also had the saddle brown on my 11 pro for months and it did age nicely.

Less than happy with this case. It’s almost like the colour was painted on.

It’s not behaving like any of my previous leather cases from Apple.

Can anybody recommend a different case that has a strong MagSafe attachment? Leather preferred…. But I’m open to suggestions!

My leather case started doing that and Apple replaced it for free.

My Apple saddle brown case has seen some, ahem, wear as well. Never seen this before in all the previous Apple saddle brown cases I've owned.

Your cover looks like it's made the same way as my light blue one, which also has paint that peels off.

Did you have any success with returning it for a refund/replacement?

I called apple yesterday and showed them my cover, and they said this was normal wear due to their internal guidelines. But I'm pretty sure nobody would accept a leather jacket/handbag/shoe to look like this after a few months.

Of course it's leather. No way Apple could sell something they claim is leather that isn't and get away with it. It's the method they chose to apply color (coating vs. dye) that is causing this.

Wonder if quality control missed something ? None of my leather cases peeled ever and my new midnight has some slight peeling … now i switched to the blue abyss silicone , looks like this year the silicone may actually hold up better
