I don't know about you, but the app couldn't process my order at least five times in a row before I was finally able to place an order and get an e-mail confirmation.

Maybe keep it for a back up or return it lol I always wanted for PRO MAX model. The smaller screen size is still not settling in for me.
No problem for me.. I got the "Getting things ready" screen for a couple of minutes but once I got in it was smooth sailing.
After many years, of buying a new iPhone max, I took a break. Working from home and using Wi-F, I don't need the 5G feature for another 10 months. So I chose to give it a break. But if the feedback is strong, I might buy a new one. I look forward to reading the experience of those who will receive their new iPhone 12 Pro max in a week's time. So please do post your detailed experience with your new phone.

I ordered through the military site. I'm a military spouse.
Blue 256GB for me, was torn between that and the gold but my XS Max is gold so it's time for a change. Ordered the plum silicone case to go with it, any recommendations for screen protectors that are easy to apply?
Just show up maybe a few mins before, say 8am, so you are first in your group and they’ll organize you by your time slot. For you, they will only be seeing people who have the 8:15-8:30 time slot. And you’ll be in and out of the store.
Usually I get an 8am time slot. Arrive at 7:50 and can be on my way back home by 8:10am
Sounds like you have it planned out. Definitely need a reservation to get inside but I think it’ll be good.

My 256 PB arrives on friday. Super smooth order process. App store came on line at 13.02 UK time. Took 30 seconds via Apple pay.
Ordered my Graphite Pro Max 128Gb and schedule to arrive next Friday in the Netherlands

Mine went the other way. First Verizon was up early as always, then the iPhone app, and then the site on my MBP came up. Not sure what was up with the iPad this time around, but my MBP came through!
Just trying to get inside Apple store to look at the Pac Blue and Graphite in person was an effort last week.
I would love to have my hands on the phone at 11am (The Apple Store in the mall near me have shortened hours since PA lockdown was lifted months ago), but I'll wait for UPS.
I HOPE they deliver early, but in all my times pre-ordering, they usually show up around 4, 5, 7pm! Oh well.
I did a last min. switch to 256gb, went with Graphite also.
I've had low end GB sizes for years, $100 for the extra space, not worry about super large 4K video shooting (like my 64gb XS Max)..why not. It's time to go big!
I got this too. Was worried it was an issue with my credit cardThat was maddening. The app just would not place the order, The website kept showin "Almost there"
FINALLY got through the website on my iMac. (Then had to remove 2 extra phones from my "Bag.")
8:14am order, delivery next Fri. (eye roll!) Glad thats done though.
. Ended up using a different CC and purchasing on their desktop website instead.
