I was just wondering what the latest rumors are for pricing for the iPhone 12 Pro which I’m looking to buy in the 256gb version when it’s released.

I’ve seen multiple rumors with it being either $999 or $1049 for the base 128gb model and $1100 or $1150 for the 256gb model. This will most likely be a long term purchase for me so an extra $50 won’t stop me from buying it but just curious as to what people on here know about the pricing.

Thanks

I don’t suspect any price hikes this year For the hardware. One way would be a price hike, is if Apple starts to charge more for SSD increases, which is actually how they accrue more per unit when you factor what they charge for the higher storage units.

Does it really matter the price? You've already decided what you're buying, if its $1199 or $1349 you're gonna pay whatever they tell you to.

iPhone Price Higher and don't forget if you're in an area where 5G service is good if you want to use it carriers will charge a premium. ATT already said it today

Well it is same pricing according to Prosser (*Cough*).

I mean seriously. Qualcomm X55 Modem, mmWave Antenna, That alone is $20+ increase in BOM cost. mmWave is actually not confirmed but expected. You will have newer front end receiver design. Also expected 6GB of RAM, another cost increase.

So I would be *very* surprised if they dont increase in price. Having said that I believe Apple originally wanted to push price up even further. But pandemic changes things.

So may be, I am guessing

$1149 Pro Max
$1049 Pro

$749 iPhone 12
$649. Mini

$599. iPhone 11

$399. iPhone SE

This hopefully leaves room for the rumoured iPhone SE Plus at $499 in March 2021. ( Or more likely iPhone SE dropped to $349 and Plus starts at $449 )

I agree with that prediction. L0vetodream says the mini is positioned slightly lower than iPhone 11.

I am thinking if Apple will sweeten the deal and start with 128GB.

Well may be next year, give them some wiggle room in terms of pricing. Fitting a $649 iPhone 12 64GB should make a $749 iPhone 13 128GB easier sell.

I think Apple could afford to increase the price of the Pro because it’s a smaller market on the whole and people who want those devices don’t tend to mind paying more. I do doubt they will increase it though as it’s a risky strategy in the current climate.
