Other iPhone 12/Pro Stainless Steel Sides Ugly?

How do you like the new, square, stainless steel casing of the iPhone 12/Pro? I think it looks outdated and ugly... Plus the dimensions and weight are larger despite comparable screen size models. I prefer the glass design of my iPhone X.

I really like the look of the SS sides, however, they are going to look like sh%t about one hour after use. Even carefully placing immediately in case. My SS apple watch and any other SS gear I got from apple always lured me in with their shiny shiny, but ultimately look wrecked shortly thereafter. I love the look, but mannnnnnn....

iPhone 4s had the best design. Stainless steel frame, brushed, glass back. It looks damn near perfect and durable and always brand new in the 2 years period I had been using it.

Don’t know why Apple had to make its stainless steel products to be so shiny, only to get stained shortly aftewards? Brushed is the only way to go, I don’t care if it’s indistinguishable from Aluminum. Steel is steel.

No. Too industrial looking for my liking. But then I didn’t like the iPhone 4/4s/5 design, and I don’t find the rounded sides slippy, like others seem to.

FWIW, the shiny stainless steel sides of my midnight green 11 Pro still look like they did on day one, and I rarely use a case. That PVD coating is pretty good!

It's heavier compared to what? If you mean the 11 Pro/max - then no, it's definitely not.

Always in a front trouser pocket in which I put nothing else but the iPhone. I have done this since iPhone 4 (my first) and it always worked out fine. Even the notoriously micro-scratch prone Jet Black 7 only showed minimal wear after the year that I had it.
