Curious to see now that people are more mobile, are they still happy with their choice of the 12 Pro vs. 12 Pro Max? If so why, if not, why not? Personally I have both but lately that I am traveling and out more in the summer almost always go for the 12 PRO to to its lighter weight…

The PM for me needed an adaptation, as I was upgrading from an iPhone X. I am more and more mobile, and I don’t find the PM size to be much of an issue for now, and I like the extra battery life that I get (extremely noticeable compared to the X). For each their own, I get that the 12 Pro is more convenient for mobility

I've been surprised at how much I like the PM, especially since I went to it from the much smaller X and I was going PM not for the larger screen, but for the camera IS. Before buying the PM I ordered a belt holster case, assuming the PM wouldn't fit comfortably in a pants pocket. I've never had to use the belt holster; I find I enjoy the size of the screen. I had a 7 plus and didn't think the pluses of the size of the screen outweighed the hassle of the large physical enclosure. It'd different on the 12 PM, which is almost all screen - maybe my favorite iPhone so far. Only problem: it's good enough I find it hard to justify upgrading my old iPad Pro 10.5" LOL - when it dies I might not even bother replacing it (or go with the cheapest iPad, use it just for lounging/reading)

I switched back to the 12 Pro from the 12 Pro Max in April once I was more mobile because the Max made me feel like I was carrying an anchor while the 12 Pro feels more slick to fit in my jeans pocket and makes one-handed use much easier. The battery life isn't as great but I'm constantly charging anyway.

yeah I could see that, someone who is always on the go... it is a lot for the pockets :)

haha yeah on the ipad, made me get the 12.9 which I enjoy!!

I have the 12 Pro. Love it! It's easy to carry around. I don't need an iPad mini when I'm out and about.

I have an iPad Pro at home when Im just chillin' like a villain.

I have the 12 Pro in Pacific Blue. Really great phone. Battery life is excellent, great camera, and snappy performance. This has been one of my favorite iPhones. I started my Apple journey with the 6s, coming from a long line of Windows phones.

I'm still a happy camper and plan to keep this phone at least unit the iPhone 14 comes out. I got the 700 dollar trade credit from AT&T so need work those bill credits off before I upgrade to another device.

This year, instead of getting a new phone, I am hoping for an M1 14 inch MacBook Pro. If that device comes to fruition, I'm all in!

Swapped from a 12 to a 12 pro max 4 months ago, got it new for $520AUD off retail so was a no brainer, so much better phone, size/weight is a non issue for me. I don't walk around all day with it in my pocket though.
Hard to believe OP you would need to charge a max by 4pm?

I’m in the same boat , I have both but recently I switched to the 12 pro as it feels much more comfortable In the pockets and easy to use one handed…

Also may I ask what case your using on both ? Now I have the Apple leather for both , but I always have my eye open for something different

I like the leader Case… then the apple leather… I just find most cases on the PM make it way too bulky..

So far, my 12PM has been great. Sorry to see the XS MAX go, but it stopped working. I haven’t needed to charge it overnight yet, just charging in the car has been plenty.

Sorry out of topic I have iPhone mini lol, bought for convenience. I can’t go back to large size phones. I hope Apple won’t discontinue it.

yeah hard to know I know a lot of folks who love their minis... would be too bad if apple discontinues them I hear they will make them for apple 13 then that's it, but who knows the iPhone 12 Pro honestly is not that much larger than the mini, Its still relatively small!

Sure am

bit jealous of the 12 weight vs my 12 pro but glad to have telephoto and since I wanted 128 the price difference was worth it

also since I won panel lottery my screen is brighter than 12 (and most other 12 pro’s) that I’ve seen

WiFi 6 finally tested out and sporadic 5G and only one occasion of seeing the top end 5G that did 2000mbps blew my mind

a14 is a champ too and 6gb ram

Yeah with my PM I have to charge at 4pm each day…. Not the best battery life… wish it was better!!!
I guess it depends on what you do. My 12 PM battery life is beast. But then I'm not a heavy user. Plus I unplug mine at 80% and only goes to about 60% by then end of the day and I charge it back up to 80%. Never goes to 100%.

Is there really much difference weight wise between the 12 and 12 pro?? Both seem light to me, but I came from the max :) which I loved…. But not the bulk!

I started out with the 12 PM for a week before switching to the 12 pro (coming from the X). Huge upgrade and enjoyed the extra screen real estate but as others have mentioned it felt a little to big for one handed use and also using it in the gym as time progressed which was only a week.

Now that I have had the 12 pro for 8 months, my next upgrade may be a max model. I felt like if I just bit the bullet and stuck with the PM I would have gotten used to it. I don't own an iPad and really don't plan on getting one to compliment my MacBook / iPhone so it may be a good idea in the future to have that bigger screen for on the go tasks.

Now I am in the difficult decision to resist upgrading to the new 13 after less than a year with my current phone (based off the nice sounding rumors). I always wait 2-3 years.

Yikes, that’s a tough one, but if you itch for larger, just go larger! cost difference wont be that much… if you use the Max caseless it doesn’t seem too much larger than the Pro with a case IMO… I have a 12.9 iPad PRO tho. I just wish the max was easier to use one handed!

I have the 12 PM, and I’ve been happy since launch day. I have no reason to upgrade to the 13 PM, unless they come out with a Rose Gold color. I love the Pacific Blue color, and have acquired more cases than I was supposed to.

Rose gold would be nice!!!

I’m visually impaired so sadly, using a smaller phone requires too much scrolling for me. Even on my 12 Pro Max, I have zoom turned on, as well as the largest font size and bold text…so I still do a lot of scrolling! Thankfully Dark Mode had made my life much easier as reading white text on a black background has so much better contrast for me! Not nearly as much eye strain!!!

However, as always, I absolutely love my iPhone. The 4s was my first phone about 10 years ago. I was a PC/Windows user at the time, however I was so impressed with the iPhone I began migrating all of my tech equipment over to the Apple ecosystem - and I have never been more satisfied! As of November 2019 when I bought my 16” MBP, I am now a 100% Apple user!!!
