My iPhone 12 Pro is rapidly connecting and disconnecting when I plug it into my 2017 Macbook Air. I’ve tried 3 different Apple chargers and have tried resetting my Location and Privacy Settings (this solved the issue when I had it with my XR). Also restarted both devices. When I plug in my phone I am not asked if I want to “trust this device”... it just starts and stops charging rapidly. Any tips?

I have the same problem with my iPhone 12 Mini on macOS Catalina. I tried a lot of things but to no avail. My iPhone SE (2016) works.
I have no solution. But my iPhone 12 Mini connects without problems to a Windows 10 laptop. And a friend who also has a 12 Mini could connect his phone on macOS Big Sur, so maybe Big Sur fixes the issue?

I upgraded to Big Sur and the issue was resolved - thank you!
