gwang73 macrumors 68030 May 31, 2024 #3 5G uses more battery vs. 4G. The difference gets less over time as the network gets better coverage and chips get more efficient. I set my phone to 5G Auto and Data Mode to Standard. I find this a good balance of battery vs. speed.
