The zoom features are actually quite useful for those who don't see so well. Say you are somewhere like a restaurant and can't read the menu well or want to read a car plate down the street. A lot of times a good optical camera these days can be like wearing glasses without the need of wearing glasses. These 2 car plates could not have been read without zoom from a smartphone and the same with what the sign read on this sign. More helpful in reading things from a distance. Like having two types of glasses in 1

That moving gate graphic is glorious... like the perfect, but curious, combination of celebration and violent, crushing expiry. Plus Gumby.

I guess some people use it more than others. The zoom on the iPhone 12 maintains good picture quality from experience now so I guess I didn’t need the Pro after all.

In my country iPhone 12 is 1500$ and iPhone 12 pro is 1950 $ because of government taxes. Also one more year guarantee is included the price. My phone is X now. But I want to change it. So what will you prefer to me about buying iPhone 12/pro. Are the listed features deserve the 450$ or not? I believe that you’re saying now iPhone 12 should not buy with this price. Thanks for our government ( I don t want to specify my country here. Thanks

Directly from your linked specs:
You confused the iPhone 12 Pro with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It's the Max that has the 2.5x/5x zoom. He was never referring to the Max except at the end of the article where he stated the Max had higher zoom range.

After spending 6 months with the Pro, I have to say... no matter what anyone says, highly highly consider the Pro. LiDar Photos are so much better, and 4K60fps clips made me excited to show off recorded experiences again. I don’t think I’d ever be able to go back without missing these improvements. Now lets talk price: an unlocked iPhone 12 costs 30 dollars more than an unlocked pro, plus your getting twice the storage of the iPhone 12; so for a little over a 100 dollar difference, your getting a 6 year device instead of a 4 year device. Most will probably only keep the thing for 2 years anyways, so the difference may not be worth it to you; that being said... 4K60 video and LiDar Photos would be hard for me to give up.

Close up shots though on Max Pro are not so good. Focus issues for closeup shots on 12 Pro Max

It was £100 difference where I’m from and to be honest I did all the spec comparisons and went with the 12. I’ve not been disappointed and think for many like me the 12 is good enough. Whatever suits I say.

What about weight and that the stainless steel is a fingerprint magnet? Otherwise, it's clear the pro is better and the cost difference isn't huge.
