Anything before the phone is announced is still be a rumor, and thus not 100% confirmed. Could it be likely, sure. But its never a given. Hence why the name is MacRumors, and not MacFacts.

Actual confirmation would be either from Apple or perhaps at least something like an official document that is leaked (although that's still more of a leak than a confirmation).

Enjoy it first. I sold my iPhone X in late August once it was all but certain a larger iPhone X like device would be announced. Surely enough the iPhone XS Max was announced and I upgraded to that.
