Thank you to everyone who's taken time out of their day to reply. I think I've narrowed it down to Spigen Tough Armour, Spigen Silicone Fit, and UNBREAKcable. I really like the plain look and thinness of the Spigen Silicone Fit, and the ruggedness of the Spigen Tough Armour. Does the Spigen Tough Armour add much bulk? What all of these cases have in common is there aren't any cut-outs for the buttons, which I like.

Do Amazon do all three?

If so, order them all and send two back you don't want

I’ve been using the Zizo Bolt cases for a few phones now.
Look great, nice drop protection. I use a separate glass screen protector.

Great suggestion. Amazon have the two Spigen cases I'm interested in. I'll order both and see what they're like in the flesh.

Is there anything similar to the Spigen Tough Armour but without the logo cut-out?

The Spigen Tough Armour is growing on me. That's a nice case.

The cutout would bother me but I must say the very sane cutout on the iPad really helps with holding the device as your digits rest in that circular groove nicely. Not sure the position would have the same effect with the smaller phone.

You may have already settled on one, but FWIW I have sworn by Tech21 cases since about 2014. Happened on one by chance back when otterbox was the huge thing, was moving from (i think) an Apple leather red case that was simply worn out on my iPhone 4s? Whatever the situation was, after I had put it in the tech 21 case, one day when I went out to get gas, I left my phone on top of my car. I got home (short drive) and realized it was missing and located it on the side of the road, not a scratch on it, and I didn’t even have a screen protector on at the time. I will probably shill for tech21 unless or until something goes drastically wrong.

As for cutouts I saw you mention in one of the messages, this current case I have has one for mute, camera bump and charging and speakers. I don’t think it gets too terribly dirty but every so often I take my phone out and clean everything. I don’t think I will go back to a case design that doesn’t at least have a cut out for the mute switch, it would never stay in place in an old case that covered it. And the hinge on the otterbox at the charging port also bugged me.

I don't mind the cut-outs for the camera, mute switch, charging port and speakers, but not keen on the cut-out/eyelets for the power and volume buttons like on some of Spigen's cases - worried about dust/dirt getting in.

The defender XT is trash. The backplate is a thin piece of plastic that does nothing to stop the shock from a fall into going into your phone and breaking the back glass.

I love my Casetify Ultra Impact case. It is one of the best cases as far as protection that is somewhat slim.

Can't decide between Spigen Tough Armour, Casetify Impact, and RhinoShield SolidSuit. Really like the Casetify Impact matte black.

Spigen wins on cost but Casetify wins on design/slim profile (and its drop protection seems good).

I have 2 of the Casetify Ultra Impact matte black because I love their cases so much. They are protective and good looking.

Out of all the smilies that we have here, there is none for a big bucket of popcorn! :D

I think that's what I'm after - good drop protection without too much bulk (and no button cut-outs/eyelets, if possible).

Came across the Caseology Vault: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Caseology-...seology+vault+iphone+13&qid=1645698483&sr=8-3

The Caseology Vault beat out every other case I tried for my iPhone 11 Pro Max.. very grippy .. for the money, it was an excellent case - yes, sorta just plain rubber, but it felt very secure in hand. Looks like the 13 version is the same. Worth a try.

There's an offer on the Mous Limitless 4.0 case - £20.50 delivered (with a discount code). How good is their back glass protection? The JETech and TORRAS Shockproof also look good.

I have read so many reviews where people have complained that the Mous limitless has done nothing to protect their back glass and their phone shatter when it falls. I would stick with brands like Casetify to protect the back glass. I have a speckled fabric limitless, and while it looks great on my phone, I don’t trust it to take a fall.

Thank you. I'll rule Mous out.

I've noticed that the Casetify Impact has button cutouts which I'm on the fence about because dust and dirt could get in. Am I worrying over nothing? Or do button cutouts cause real problems?

Dust does get in the case because of the cutouts, but I have yet to a scratch or mark on my phone because of it. Just a heads up, Casetify (like Mous, and DBRAND Grip) barely gives you camera protection.

I like the look of the Apple leather case. I'd buy Midnight to go with my Midnight 13.
I've got this exact one on my 13 Pro and can't complain about it. I've been on Apple leather cases since they first popped up with the iPhone 5s, so I've decided to abide by the 8-year-old tradition.

To me, the quality of this case seems no worse from its predecessors, even if the texture is ever-so-slightly different. It offers a reasonable level of protection without adding too much bulk to a phone that's already big enough on its own. Probably also the least durable from the bunch in the original post, but I can still recommend it — who's ever had a leather case on any iPhone before will know exactly what they're getting here.

That's surprising. I just watched a review of the Casetify Impact and there doesn't seem much of a lift on the camera bump.
