Apple is set to receive supply priority status from pure play foundry TSMC for iPhone 13 chip orders going into the third quarter of 2021, as the Taiwanese partner grapples with orders for automative and other device chips amid a supply shortfall, according to DigiTimes.

TSMC is also set to ramp up its output for the upcoming iPhone series in the third quarter, the sources indicated.
Other chip suppliers in Apple's supply chain, including Genesys Logic and Parade Technologies, are also scaling up supply to fulfill Apple's orders for the third quarter, which are said to be 30-40% higher than second quarter levels.

With the iPhone 13 series expected to follow a more usual launch timeline this year, chipmakers are poised to see Apple's orders peak for 2021 in the fourth quarter, said DigiTimes' supply chain sources.

The iPhone 13 models dropping in September are expected to look similar to the 2020 iPhone lineup, with four devices in sizes that include 5.4-inches, 6.1-inches, and 6.7-inches, with two of the iPhones being higher-end "Pro" models and two positioned as lower-cost, more affordable devices.

Though major design changes aren't expected, rumors suggest camera improvements, a faster A-series processor, a new 5G chip from Qualcomm, increased battery life, and some tweaks to the notch. Check out our dedicated iPhone 13 roundup for all the details.

So, production will ramp up aggressively during July 1st to September 30th?

This article was posted 4 weeks ago.. Which one holds the truth?

Looks like the first article said production had begun. This article says production has ramped up. Both can be true at the same time.

I'm waiting for the iPhone 13s to get a used iPhone 12, LOL
I'm waiting for iPhone 13 or 14 to get a cheap brand new XR or 11 (once they are dropped form the lineup). Apple sometimes still sells older models in my country, even if they have been discontinued in the US.

I'm waiting for the iPhone 14 with the 4nm chip.
Another ho hum upgrade in hardware.

Much like IOS 15 and MacOs Monterey.

Mac mini with the A1X chip you can't come soon enough.

I can’t begin to express how sorry I feel for those who won’t have an iPhone 13, makes me sick almost

I wouldn't suggest getting the XR.
I have one and for the price you can find it at these days is great, also the only iPhone people like me could afford; that said in 2021 I'm starting to approach its limits and you can see this never was a premium product.

I have a mac mini M1 and I love it, but I can't wait for the new gen of the computer.
If you don't need the portability of the macbook, the mini is such a nice form factor.
It's also remarkably easy to carry around (the box is smaller than the macbook) as it easily fits inside a normal shoulder bag.

I don’t believe you will see a home button much less Touch ID under the screen.
Yes not a smidget of rumours regarding Touch ID in any form for the iPhone 13 models is really disappointing to say the least. It’s obviously not happening this year, hopefully maybe next year. Looks like I will be using PIN code again for my 13 mini... first world problems!

I am fine using a PIN code as well. If Touch ID should come back in some form, that is fine with me. Either way, I don’t obsess about it like many here do.

I forgot about it when they introduced unlock with Watch option......but not everyone wants an Apple Watch so I still see a need for it.

I agree, I don't obsess about that, or the notch or any of the other things that so many do here.

Please message me if you find it, I have been asking and searching since MacRumours first started using it.
I need that wallpaper
I came here specifically to see f I can find some info about it.. Seems I'm not the only one 😂
It's the perfect blend of colors and it's not too busy while also being sharp.

I was able to find this google search which has some very similar ones of different color palettes but could be a good springboard to it, or similar ones:
Google Search: "Paint Swirl in Water"

We should be seeing the new iPhones in September.
A more powerful/less power consuming chip for the new iPhones. :)

Made an attempt in Photoshop, using what we can see of the image. Not perfect, but might satisfy some.
Oh wow -- this is great! I considered trying to do something like this in Procreate on iPad but this here is stellar. Thanks for sharing, it looks really good! Adding to my iPhone now :)
