Wi-Fi 6's growth into the 6 GHz spectrum is a game changer for two reasons
Dammit...I just bought the 12.
Lol. I was just kidding. I love my 12 pro max.The iPhone 12 series of phones support WiFi 6, you will be fine. The iPhone 12 is a worthy upgrade for many reasons.
I do not think WiFi 6e is going to be the factor that causes people to upgrade to the next iPhone series.
WiFi is already fast enough, and on these devices, as far as I know, they cannot even reach the top theoretical speeds.
So, rest well knowing your iPhone 12 (whichever model) was a great purchase!

Because by the time we would have reached "iPhone 47" phones as separate devices likely won't exist anymore. Just like iPods are no longer manufactured. Whatever device will replace the iPhone will likely be some kind of wearable with a virtual screen and 'keyboard'. Think back to what cell phones looked like 35 years ago and what their capabilities were! LOL. I should hope that in another 35 years our personal communications tech will be astounding compared to what we have now (and what we have now IS amazing). It’s about time to ditch the numbering scheme anyway. At a certain point the numbers start sounding silly. Introducing iPhone 23. Introducing iPhone 47. Introducing iPhone 79.
Apple almost has to change it at a certain point.
Or the iPhone 7s, 9s, and 11s lol. Crazy how none of those phones will ever exist.Give me my iPhone 9
I’d argue that iPhone 17 sounds pretty bad and we’ll be there in a few years.Because by the time we would have reached "iPhone 47" phones as separate devices likely won't exist anymore. Now, that is only if the world as we know it still exists in 35 years, and the Western world hasn't completely devolved into madness and 'tribal'/ethnic/religious state-nations.

5G is useless here where I live on EE the only place where there is 5G is main city centre.5G is useless. I canceled my service and went back to 4G
after 20GB of download your internet comes to a screeching HALT
Does not just slow down! It Stops!
This is why having a 5G phone is a rip off and useless.
and its likely to get worse as 5G becomes more mainstream.
Comcast only charges you $10 for going over like 100GB but your download speed never slows.
Same with WOW cable and others.

I agree not worth the upgrade (strictly WiFi speaking) until more than 1 consumer 6e router is available and more devices than just my phone can utilize it. That said, I will be more than happy to upgrade as soon as that is a reality. Living in a densely populated area I would love to have that 6ghz all to myself!I doubt Wifi 6E would make the experience any better. Wifi is already fast enough for a mobile device!
Edit: I want to add that speed is not the only factor I was thinking. Even with all the features, it sure won't be a "game changer" enough to upgrade.
