Hello everyone !

I have a question for the iPhone 13/max pro silver owners regarding the scratch resistance of this color.

I currently have an iPhone 13 pro graphite since the launch and since the first month of use, I regret not taking the pro max version because I heard that the battery life is incredible.

Currently, there is a promotion of 100 euros at my carrier regarding the purchase of this phone. I want to change the color and I like the silver version of this phone but I read that this color was really concerned with scratch problems. I would therefore like to know if the owners of this version notice scratches on their phone even if it is protected.

Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad English, I’m French.

I don‘t have the 13 Pro Max in silver, but I can tell you for certain that it will scratch much more easily than the phones that have colored coating.

The plus side is that you can polish the frame if you want to do so, which you can‘t do on the other colors.

Keep in mind that even if you put a case on the silver 13 Pro Max, the sides can end up scratching just from the action of sliding the case on. What I did was purchase clear glossy skin and put that on the sides of my phone. No more worrying about scratches or finger prints.

Mine is just like day 1. The silver iPhone is just beautiful like a piece of ice in your hand. I really don't care about scratch, but if you do so use Apple case

Mine is fine from launch and I’ve switched cases dozens of times already.

I'm wondering about going back to Silver for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I had the iPhone 11 Pro Max in Silver and was really disappointed at how quickly it showed scratches (only took a few days)...and I'm very very careful with my phones.

It seems they've improved the coating or the treatment on the 12 and 13 Pro? Is that what people are seeing who own these? Is the silver holding up without any special treatment?

For reference the Space Grey and Graphite are extremely durable without a case, mine looks like new.

Where did you get the clear glossy skin from and what brand is it? My Samsung phones have these on them from the factory and they do really help protect the finish though changing cases frequently tends to peel them a bit.

silver is by far the best and easiest color to maintain. I had the green and ONE slight bump the coating came off! Back to silver now!

Do you mind providing me a link to the skin you bought that goes on the sides of the 13 Pro Max? I have been looking online with no luck. Thank you!

That is a good questions loved the 14 Pro Max in Silver but too afraid about scratches
