Hi everyone,

So, I've recently upgraded from the 11 Pro to 13 mini (mostly for the difference in size). Everything is great -- as advertised, but the camera "macro" or rather "zoom" mode just doesn't work. If I use the wide lens the picture is super blurry when I try to take a close up photo. I even plugged in my old 6S (!) and it takes much less blurry zoom photos than my 13 mini. I've attached pictures from both, just so you guys can see what I'm talking about (the first picture is the 6S). The problem doesn't occur if I try to take a close up photo using the ultra-wide lens. Any suggestions?

Back off the camera. You’re out of its minimum focusing range.
Newer cameras on newer iPhones shoot more pixels compared to your 6S so the photo from the new phone can be shot farther away then cropped later to get a closely framed shot and still look sharp.

Macro lens on UltraWide camera is available only for iPhone 13 Pro.
Yup, I know. I was just wondering if it is normal to get worse quality pictures when zoomed in on the 13 than on my 11 AND the 6S. From what I gather -- that's a tradeoff that Apple has made.
