Well, not what you’re asking but I came from a 13 pro to a 13 mini, and I had a regular 12 before (basically the same as the 13).

I think the regular size phone is great - if you don’t go pro, it’s not super heavy. With a Loopy case, I could still pretty much use mine one-handed. I mainly went to the mini because I know I’ll likely get a 14 pro if it has no notch, and I wanted to try out a small phone for a while. I’ve been enjoying the size and weight of the mini coming from a pro, but the non-pros, with the aluminum bodies, aren‘t really much heavier.

Honestly, I’d probably not go pro again if it weren’t for the fact that they’re gonna lose the notch - it has always bugged me (yes, I’m one of THOSE people).

Just go with what suits your needs. I'm pretty sure the experience will be what you expect. Better battery life and a larger screen are the only differences.

Had a 12 pro. Used the 13 mini for one week to try it out. Used the 12 pro again for the following week. Ultimately chose the Mini.

I went from a XR to the 12 mini at announcement...don't miss the XR at all. I went to the XR from a 5S and never got used to the added size and weight. I will be very disappointed if/when Apple discontinues the mini.

I got a 13 Pro because of my 70 year old eyes, I need the bigger screen.
I would have LOVED to get the mini instead otherwise.

Has anyone gone from the 13 mini to the standard 13 ? What has been your experience? Thanks !!!

I played around the 13 mini for a couple of days before moving to 13 earlier this year. I have large hands so I don’t get a good grip holding the mini. It doesn’t feel secure in my hand. Plus I had a lot of typo errors when texting so that’s one flaw I had with the mini.

Then of course you have the reduced battery life, small screen and the obvious differences between a big and a small phone.

If you asked me, 13 is a better experience than the mini.

I have small hands and make a lot of typing errors with the mini, but I honestly made them with the pro as well - I just can’t seem to type well on the phone keyboards. If talk to text wasn’t so ridiculous, I’d likely never type a text again. ;-p

Originally had a mini, went to the 13 for a few days, and immediately back to the 13 mini. I'm so used to the mini, I can't imagine using a bigger phone at this point. I love easily using my phone one-handed and being able to effortlessly reach all 4 corners of the phone with my thumb.

I’m afraid this is what’s gonna happen to me. I got the 13 mini just to use for a bit before getting the 14 pro (dying to lose the notch), but I’m really loving the size. I will have to decide if I hate the notch more than I love the size of the mini when the time comes.

I used a 12 mini for a year, then jumped to a 13 pro for 8 months. Really liked the promotion and the cameras, but the weight started to annoying me.

I finally sold the Pro and get the regular 13 and I’m happy with it. The 30 grams difference is so noticeable. Battery last me 2 days and the main camera is really good. I didn’t miss the telephoto lens at the moment and promotion is something that I forgot after two day’s without it.

You could give the dictation from iOS 16 a try when it comes out. From the demos, it works like magic.
