Am a slow adopter--first smartphone was a 4S after it had been out for awhile then went to the 1st generation SE 5 years ago. Am envious of the photos that friends take with their newer phones--not quite envious to go the 12pro or 13pro route.

I really like the small size of the SE, but if I can walk/sit comfortably around with a 12 in the front pocket of my jeans I can adjust to a bigger phone.

Most likely will be looking at pre-owned iPhones, specifically the iPhone 12 or the iPhone 13 mini. Wondering what opinions you all have with the regular iPhone 12 versus the iPhone 13 mini? The battery life on the 12 mini seems to be a negative. I like the size of the 2022 SE, but am not sure how the photos look compared to the 12 or 13 mini.

Thank you in advance!

13 mini will get better battery life than your SE does, and there are tons of battery pack options if it becomes an issue — but a good usb-c to lightning cable and a 20 watt charger are a great solution, fast charging works pretty well. And I can’t say enough about the size, it is fantastic to have something only slightly larger than an SE/5S/5 that is modern.

You really can’t go too wrong either way, if your buying used and it’s something you don’t like reselling an iPhone is a breeze (as is trading it in, if you find that easier). And either phone will net you a pretty great camera upgrade.

Recently went from the iphone 13 because i was tired of the size and faceID. Now i hace the 3rd gen SE but do miss the picture quality. Might go for the 13 mini later but since I got a killer deal on the SE with 128 for 200 dlls I couldnt pass it.

If you do find you like the size of the 12, you should look into a 13. With the 14 series being announced today, you’re going to be able to find pretty good deals on the 13 series. I am one of those people that like to get the newest model available at that time because it will be supported longer. But that’s just my two cents worth anyway.
