Been using pixel 4 and now 5 for the last 2 years. Mainly because of the camera. Both years i also bought iPhone 11 and 12 pro only to return them. I still like the photos from pixel way better. But i prefer iOS to android

My pixel 5 on Android 12 beta is awesome so far .

What do you guys think of iPhone 13? Of the camera is on par with pixel 6, I'll switch.

All comments are welcome.

Until the keynote happens, no one knows whether to recommend the iPhone 13 for your needs.

If you prefer the pixel thus far for photos, the new model is likely going to be improved enough to draw you back in, however it’s worth keeping in mind that this is the first phone using Google’s own chip. It may be faultless, it may be a disaster.
Having owned previous pixels and having to return two with quality control issues in the build, I’d be concerned about the new pixel if I was planning to keep it long term.

With pixel new sensors pixel will be very hard to beat due to their amazing software for photos. That said 13 pro max will have amazing camera so if you prefer iOS go with iOS.

Personally I've been using iPhones since they came out. I'm waiting to see if GrapheneOS will support the Pixel 6 Pro and will probably make the switch.

Apple's plans to join the surveillance state have really ended my nearly 2 decade fandom of their products.

Both phones will be amazing pieces of tech and WILL do everything you need a phone to do. You can't go wrong with either of them.

Having said that, I always lean towards iPhone for my recommendations simply because of build quality and support length. Apple supports their devices like no other tech company. Google abandons their devices like no other company. I personally feel your money is better spent on Apple, even if they are more expensive. You will get more years of service out of your purchase with Apple.

iPhone has always been rock solid, lasts for years, and Apple is on-point with the iOS updates. Much better privacy protection too. Staying iPhone, no matter what Google does.

Now that iPhone 13 is released it comes down to price for me. If pixel 6 is going to cost more than CAD1100 I may go for iPhone 13 pro considering its resale value in a year.

So today I've ordered the 13 pro to be picked up on 25th sep. Let's see how this goes. I returned the iPhone 12 pro after using that and pixel 5 for a few days. Mainly the camera. Plus i got pixel 5 for half the price.
