Got the iPhone 13 two weeks ago. This is my first iPhone so I don't have any previous comparisons to make, but overnight I seem to be losing about 10% which seems excessive for me. Coming from my android phone I was losing about 2-3% overnight and that phone is 4 years old. So many people praise the battery life of this phone but I'd say it's the same as my android phone good but nothing special. Is there something wrong with my phone or I'm missing something here?

I do have background refresh turned off for most apps (except a few) and I also turn my phone on aeroplane mode every night. Maybe I have to turn it off for all apps? Could be iOS 15 issue?
Thanks

Edit: Issue resolved see comment below for details

Post your battery usage chart, select "SHOW ACTIVITY" to show the times for each app. Do you have an Apple Watch paired with your phone?

Nothing seems too out of the blue, the energy usage doesn't seem to be too useful since it doesn't differentiate between background and active tasks, so it's not really helpful in that sense. If you look at the graph you can see a rough 10ish percent drop when I went to sleep.

I don't have an Apple Watch, but shouldn't make a difference since it's on aeroplane mode at night during sleep so all battery drain should be internal.

If you’ve got a lot of pictures, the SOC “neural engine” churns through them all building the “For You” album while the phone is locked and not being used. That requires energy

Something definitely seems off, the battery seems given draining regardless of usage. Hope they fix this soon

Update:
Okay so I found the issue! So yesterday I woke up and turned on in my phone, when I picked it up my phone was still in aeroplane mode but I noticed the GPS icon was activated for some strange reason. I then turned off the location for the day to see what will happen. By the end of the day I had an extra 15% and when left overnight my battery drained 0% which is really good.

So to conclude for some strange reason turning on location in my case drains my battery about 1% an hour even when not in use. Either way the battery life on this phone is offically better than my previous one. Before it had the same battery life :)
