Just started using the iPhone 13 Pro Max and randomly decided to check the compass and it refuses to point towards North. Same thing in the Apple Maps app.

Also toggled the true North setting and same thing.

My partner’s iPhone 13 Pro Max was pointing in the right direction initially but when he moved it around it settled down in the opposite 180 degree direction.

We already tried the calibration figure 8 movements and what not.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I’m actually thinking it might be my apartment building. Gonna try it outside.

My 13 Pro has the same issue. Sitting next to my old 7+ (on iOS 15) I get different compass readings. 7+ is correct.

Were you ever able to get this fixed? This has been an issue on my iPhone 13 mini since at least last November.

All of my iPhones are on synchronized time yet they all display a slightly different time.
Apple software isn’t exact.
