Well, not sure if this is something anyone else has experienced.

I livestream, and yesterday using my iPhone 13 pro max for the third time during a stream, the YouTube app disconnected.

However this time YouTube informed me I was offline - the stream will lose connection, but this message NEVER appears. This is always just a cell tower switchover or lack of bandwidth (my streams are on the Las Vegas Strip so that happens with all the traffic on the network).

Anyhow, this time I minimized the app and there were NO bars. The cellular connection really was gone.

First time it came back on its own in a few seconds, but the second time I had to toggle airplane mode to force it.

Now the first day after leaving the apple store I was unable to use any data. The bars were there and the 5g indicator was present, and a reset of the wireless settings fixed that.

This does not look good. I have never had any phone completely lose all its bars in three years of streaming, be it a high end android or the 12 Pro Max.

I am on Verizon.

Is it only happening on 5G?

Hi! Did you check this problem with the appstore, since you have it from day1?

I will have to check into it. I usually DO disable 5g entirely on streams as there is some sort of equipment in the casino that tends to destroy that specific type of signal.

Fwiw, it happened today again while stepping out of an elevator at the Luxor, and I had to toggle airplane mode again.

No, I am trying to avoid the applestore. That is never a short visit and my time on things most days is very limited.

The same thing happened to me 4 times in 2 days I had it!

Complete cellular loss until I restart my 13 Pro Max 😳

This seems then like it is a possible major bug, but have not read anything anywhere else.

I’ve had exactly the same problem with my 13 Pro. Total loss of cell signal.

Happened 5/6 times today. I usually find the flicking on Airplane mode then off again fixes it.

Ah there we go. I would be honored (and horrified) if this thread became one of those huge issue threads where thousands of others have the same problem.

I mean, I love my iPhone, not a hater, but the fact this could be the start of something big... I still hope not.

It hasn’t happened to me again since I posted. So hopefully it’s not a big issue.

I’m in the U.K. on O2 and live in very central London so have excellent coverage of anyone is interested.

Yep. This has been happening to me since day one. Random drops. Random switching. Poor data connections. I do have an appointment Friday and hopefully they switch it this device. My 12PM never had a problem.

I’ve had bad cellular service since upgrading to iOS 15 and Apple apparently is aware of the issue after ringing them in . I was at 5 bars on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and with the 13, I’m at one or none

Mines not bad reception - I live right in the heart of London.

One minute I’ll have five bars, can make calls etc. Then suddenly for no reason it says No SIM Installed. And I have zero service.

Flick Airplane mode on/off a couple of times and it’s back to five bars.

There’s no reason you have to turn on and off airplane mode just for the phone to get or keep signal.

Same issue here with both iPhone 13 and 13 pro max to which I switched to see if it would resolve the issue. One bar or none and about 2/3 of phone calls going direct to voicemail. Very frustrating. 12 pro did not have this problem.

I open new feedback with each beta on this. I have full bars and it just drops signal. Turn on/off airplane mode. Try it. Rinse and repeat. Eventually it connects.

Just because LTE is fine, doesn’t mean 5G is fine.

Same here. Mine and wife’s iPhone 13 Pro Max suddenly… loses all bars. Sometimes restarts works, sometimes I need to reset networking settings… just don’t know what is going on.

My wife 13 pro does this a lot.
My 13pro max once in a while.

I reset her network connection and it slowed down but still happens (also could be an update that slowed the problem down)

Airplane mode toggle did nothing for her phone yesterday, I had to hard reboot it.

She now states this is her worse phone ever!!

I am not sure her phone is just junk or others are seeing this also still but not as much??

Found this via search. I've been having this issue with my 12 mini. For example, earlier today I was trying to respond to a text and got "unable to send message" and noticed I had no bars, no nothing, just the little battery icon up in that corner. Powered the phone off and back on and suddenly I had 4 bars of 5G. It seems to have become more frequent since updating to iOS 15.x

I’ve had this happen a couple times now on my 13 pro max. Haven’t tried airplane mode or resetting network settings yet, just restarted the phone and everything came back.

Has anyone had Apple run diagnostics and find any issues yet?

My 13 pro max barely has the issue BUT my wife’s 13 pro looses radio every 2 weeks.
Ticking Airplane mode does nothing, have to hard reboot. Even thought a power cycle should also work but have not tried.

I'd consider getting an eSIM from your carrier instead of the old physical SIM card. I have had zero issues with my 13 Pro Max and my first eSIM.

If you have a VPN on for blocking ads or whatnot and you're having data connection issues, turn off your VPN. Finally after dealing with this for so long, I figured turn it off and see what happens. Bam! No data connections yet and my speed increased on TMo 5GUC.
