I’ve seen similar complain in the other post. Hence, curious how common this issue is or it’s just bad luck with the particular phone.
What I do know is these phones are heavily based on AI. There is no way an iPhone’s AI can learn your habits in 2 days. The AI heavily affects your battery usage. Let the phone settle in. There’s a reason you have 14 day buyer remorse. Take advantage of it.

Did you buy the phone from Apple? Are you sure it's not fake? I only ask because it's good to think about all the possibilities. Could just be a bad battery though. It happens. If you give it a couple days, reset it and then charge and it still happens, I'd send it back immediately. PITA though.

Iphone 13 pro max battery dropped to 50% after 2 hours of browsing, overheating after 20 min conversation on the phone, famous 120hz screen underwhelming to say the list, screen went dark after 2 min exposure to sunlight even though my auto setting was off. I’m not sure where all this hype about battery life is coming from. I’m glad I haven’t returned my 11pro max with 95% battery health after 2 years of daily use.
Overall, it’s worth the upgrade for pre 11 pro era. Otherwise, it’s nothing special.

This is how buyers remorse sounds like.

Quite frankly on paper and in person the 13 ProMAX is the most significant and complete product on the market.

Yep. From Apple store.

After all this posts it’s highly likely that I’ve got faulty unit.
Night photography was the only thing that was amazing on the new phone.

For sure you had to have a faulty unit.. I went to Disneyland yesterday which has poor cellular service started at 100 percent at opening used my phone all day left around 8 pm and still had 48 percent when I got to my car .. with my 12 pro max I would be in my 20’s for a battery percentage.. 13 pro max is for sure a big upgrade in battery ..

My phone was "warm" day one and experienced some battery drain. I attribute it to all the updating of apps / iOS / downloading emails and calendars / ETC that has to happen when the phone is "fresh". this is what they are talking about when saying give it a couple days to stabilize. it will vary greatly by user and conditions but my phone was basically crushed the first few hours out of the box. Now it is just fine. (I did not transfer my 12 backup to my 13. I went for the lump it so I could clean up some of the 100+ apps I don't need or use anymore so I set it up from scratch.)

I’m 100% certain. However, it also could be due faulty hardware. I’m curious if there are other folks that experienced the same.
Or could be an app hogging the battery. Every time that happened to us, the phone was hot and battery usage was crazy.

My other iphones ( including 12 (non-pro) ) never stabilized. They were excellent from the first day. Where this “a few days” to stabilize is coming from?
ICloud and app syncing I understand (this takes 12 hours max) but anything beyond that shouldn’t be an issue.
It sounded like you got a defective phone. It happens. I would have returned and tried again.

Wowzers, that’s the exact opposite of my experience so far. Mine has lasted 2 days without much charging in between. Since it’s new, I’ve been using it a lot and seeing what else I can do with it. I wonder if I was the lucky recipient of a flawless build, or if you were unlucky recipient of a defective one.

Another worthless thread. Obviously he got a defective unit which can easily be swapped to a new one. Battery on my 13PM is better than 12PM. Yesterday with close to 8 hours of screen time at 9 pm I still had 40% battery. All OP had to do was exchange hit faulty unit. Instead they list what they don’t like to justify their decision that the 13PM sucks. Again….unnecessary worthless thread occupying space and time.
