Apple added 4K ProRes video but the problem is that iPhone still using a freaking slow port! Do you really think you can transfer ProRes files with a lighting port instead of USB-C port? I dont know the codec but 4K ProRes can reach up to 80GB per min! Even if it's 10~20GB per min, the lighting port is too slow to transfer file. iCloud? That's a joke.

iPhone 13 Pro is not Pro until they use USB-C or Thunderbolt 3,4.

Same for old iPhone Pro 😛

I though maybe we will have usb-c with iPhone 13, but it seems we have to wait. No idea if we will have next year. Maybe we will have to wait a long time...

Since they added 4K ProRes video, they have to. A port-less iPhone won't gonna happen for iPhone Pro or they will ruin it.

Using USB 3, it would take a little under 3 minutes to transfer 80GB. The entire contents of a 256GB iPhone could be transferred in about ten minutes. If it's transferring at USB 2 speed, the corresponding numbers are 25 min and 80 minutes. That's reasonable for this worst case scenario, and nothing to complain about.

No what they need is to make it possible to share the iPhones or iPads data with a computer via usb c to Ethernet adaptor. Not hard to do. I know I know. There’s WiFi and usb is much better IMO

you can easily connect your iPhone via a/n hub/adapter to ethernet and the use Files - or better FileBrowser Go/Pro - to copy any file.
