Anyone else getting an iPhone 13 Pro (or any iPhone 13) restore error when installing a clean build.

I normally do a restore, even on a new phone, to remove Garage Band and just have a cleaner install.

Both iPad Mini 6 and iPhone 13 Pro are getting unknown errors after the downloaded software is being extracted to the device.

I'm thinking it has to be a Mac OS issue???

I have the same problem. The iOS version of my iPhone 13 Pro Max is 15.0 (19A341), and there is the new version 19A346.

When I was trying to update it with my Macbook Pro 15" 2017 (macOS 11.6) by Finder, it said, "An unknown error occurred (1)." after entering the passcode in my iPhone. I had also use iMazing, and it didn't work either.

Moreover, it seems like mac cannot recognize the new iPhone correctly.

I get the same error as raisin is getting on one of my Macs running Big Sur, however on another Mac running Catalina I'm getting a more descriptive error:

The iPhone "Joggy's iPhone 13 Pro" could not be restored. Declined to authorize this image on this device for this user.

This seems like an error possibly related to me trying to Restore to an older or unsigned version of the IPSW file, however it is the same version running on my phone already it seems, iPhone14,2_15.0_19A346_Restore.ipsw.

I wonder if it's possibly due to Apple releasing two version 15.0, the one on the iPhone as delivered and the one currently being offered.

An update of macOS is available now.

From the description: "This update ensures proper updating and restoring for iOS and iPadOS devices with a Mac.", this could be an update to fix this issue.
