iPhone 13 Pro Iphone 13 Pro Screen Flickering while sending message via Whatsapp

Hello Guys,


Is anybody experiencing the same issue like me with his new Iphone 13 Pro ?

It doesnt flicker all the time.. maybe 5 out of 10 Messages and at the exact time when i press the "send" button

-I already reinstalled whatsapp.
-Restarted Iphone
-Disabled 120Hz
-Darkmode off/on

but the issues still remains.

Apple Support couldnt tell if its a Software or a Hardware Problem. I am waiting for an answer from an engineer.

I think its an Software Problem..
i found a youtube clip which shows the same flickering but at unlocking the phone.

you can see the flickering around 0:12min

Edit: damn my video doesnt work, i searched for a clip which shows the flickering

Same for me. Not every single time but seems to happen most common if i switch back n forth between different messages and use swipe for my first reply.

Seems to do it when I swipe with words that are in the right side of the screen, such as swiping to text the word “no”.
If I turn off 120 hertz it doesn’t seem to do it.

seems to be different to me then, diasbling 120hz didnt stop the flickering.

what do you guys think?

hardware or software issue ?

I think it’s software since I only see it occur when typing in iMessage and not other apps (at least yet lol).

well imessage is fine for me, only whatsapp for me

I just stopped in Best Buy and was able to confirm the same glitching on iPhone 13 Mini as I stated before with my Pro 13.

I wasn’t able to test with the other models because they weren’t setup.

But either way, this is somewhat good news I feel because it’s not just limited to the iPhone Pro 13.

do you still use it with the glitch or are you avoiding the flickering?

I try not using Whatsapp, because im afraid of getting the Display damaged by the flickering

I have the same Problem, i turned the light down, it didn't make any difference. The only thing i did not try is the master Reset. I did a Reset, a boot, i deleted the App and installd it again.
I will make the master Resen, if it still makes the same, i'll send it back. ;(

The keyboard is flickering, had this also with my 12 Pro, guy on twitter says that WhatsApp isn’t updated for iOS 15 and thats the issue

Guys i have news! I've contacted Apple today and they said that this is an application related problem, and suggested to contact Whatsapp Support, i did it and they answered now.
I'll leave a screenshot but it's in italian so here you have the translation in english!

I just updated Whatsapp to its latest Bug Fixes Version. Haven’t got the flickering issue since.

My 13 pro was flickering on and off on WhatsApp. The screen would go black then come on again, is that what you mean? It hasn't done it in a while though!
