Just wondering if it's normal or not: my iPhone 13 Pro wakes slowly when activated with the lateral button. At the beginning I thought it could be related to the old backup (this thread), but now it's showing itself after i started using the phone without restoring a backup.

Strange fact: if I activate "tap to wake" the problem subsides. As soon as I deactivate TTW, it come back instantly.

It's a stupid thing, but I can't remember my 11 pro working this way.

I have the same issue. Did you found a solution to this? I am guessing is a bug that will be fixed with an update probably.

It's a bug of iPhone 13 Pros, I checked at Apple and all the models on display that I tried have the same issue. It goes away if you turn on the "tap to wake up" option.

I also have this issue on my 13 Mini. When "Tap to Wake" is off, does Siri come on at random times when anyone presses the side button (not long press)?

Did you ask Apple if they are able to duplicate this problem and will there be a fix?

Yes , having for few days iphone 13 pro max and my issue is that is also dim for a split second before the brightness goes to normal. Dont want to use tap to wake, prefer the side button. Also another issue I have with this phone , double tap to lock the phone is really hit and miss . Iphone 11 pro max works perfect

There is a touch registration issue that will be fixed in iOS 15.4.

This has been fixed for my 13 mini after installing 15.4, beta 3. Thanks Apple.

1. I didn’t know people didn’t use tap to wake…
2. I didn’t know it was even possible to disable it lol
