Applecare+ does not cover "liquid damage"
Yes it does. It covers all accidental damage except for “catastrophic “
AC+ is the reason why I nonchalantly wash my phone and watch daily.

The 14 pro 512Gig is $2234. The $899 was to replace my current broken iphone 13pro out of warranty. The additional price for the 14 pro would be another 900 ish bucks.

I'm based in Australia.
OMG I’d have an iPhone se 2016 or iPhone 6s if phone prices were that much in the USA. Crazy! I was watching this video how much iPhone cost in certain countries. For some developing countries it cost several months salary for a new iPhone 14 pro. Hence why those affordable phones abound from oppo or xiomi. Can’t imagine spending that much on a phone.

2099 Euros in Germany for the 14PM 1TB. IMO it’s not a phone anymore. It’s a very compact computer with a superb display and camera. And yes you can make phone calls with it too. Era of cellphones is long ago when you had to pay 49 Cents for one text message.

no it does not cover liquid damage.

Yes the standard one year warranty may not cover it, but AppleCare + certainly does. I would call Apple again if you have the 2 year AppleCare + warranty, this should cost you whatever the deductible is. Even the claim of “liquid damage” is suspect to me considering the waterproof rating on the phone unless you dropped it in a lake.

ONLY get it if you would REALLY make use of the 48 Mpixel camera in ProRAW mode and/or shoot tons of extreme-low-light videos. I do (I shoot hundreds(!) of 48 Mpixel shots each day and frequently need to shoot video in VERY low light) so for me teh 48 Mpixel camera of the 14PM is a godsend. But few people use the camera THIS much.

Otherwise, it's really not worth paying that much money for the upgrade IMHO.

IMHO the equation changes when it’s a buyer outside the USA. The phone is twice as much as the USA prices.

Super not worth it. I’m going Samsung A30 if I were them.

13 Pro or 14 Pro is like asking if you want a smaller penis or bigger one. Of course you want the 14

i didn't get AppleCare+ because consumer warranty in Australia is 3 years, but i might get it now for **** like this.

Very few people spend that sort of money for an iPhone though. Even the lowest storage Pro’s are pushing beyond the average persons spending threshold this year.

Its honestly worth if for situations like this. As for your dilemma, if it's going to cost you almost a grand to upgrade, I would say dont do it. I have a 14 pro max, I had the 13 pro max before it because my wife wanted to take over my phone. But definitely not a night and day difference between the two. I do love the camera on the 14 pro max, especially in lower light. But day to day performance is identical

Bit of a broad statement, you mean the average people you know?

Based on a lot of factors. Articles, availability or products, and of course people I know and those that I don’t. Why are so many older iPhones still so popular and why aren’t cafes, restaurants and public spaces full of people using £1k+ iPhones? It can’t be coincidence.

More likely most people buy a iPhone and use it till it dies, breaks or has issues, or need more storage v those on a tech forum who buy the latest yearly, doubt you can pick the difference between iPhones from the 11 up from a distance.
