Yeah I’m waiting on Best Buy to announce since they usually discount the phones for at least 100 on pre orders

At 1pm CST, I pre-ordered my iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB in Space Black on AT&T at Best Buy. "Estimated" to be "Ready to Pickup" on Sept 16th.

I preordered through Best Buy and they said to process my trade in with Verizon to get the promo of $800. When I do this it only gives me $200 for my ip12 mini. If I process my preorder on vzw website I get the full $800.

I only ordered thru bestbuys because I get free apple care+ with total tech membership.

Anyone familiar with the trade in process?? How do I get the $800 and apply the bill credits?? So confused…..

Finally got my pre order with T-Mobile to go through at 2:45pm. Between T-Mobile being down this morning and then the 128gb PM in silver going in and out of stock it took awhile. I have a pickup date of Sept. 29 which is fine. Best Buy had the highest trade in value for a 13 PM.

This was on Best Buy’s site under the Verizon section:

  1. Buy an eligible phone for Verizon (see link below) with a Verizon installment plan or at full retail price.
  2. Activate the phone on a qualifying plan.
  3. Go to www.vzw.com/tradein, sign in, and follow the instructions to submit your trade-in.
There was a list for adding a new line or upgrading a line with the amount your eligible for.

I guess I’ll wait to activate it.

I’ll wait to activate it. I just read on Reddit that sometimes it will not accept the promo and you have to call and jump through hoops for it to be applied. Hope it’s as easy as Best Buy says it is.

Even though I didn't get as good a trade-in from AT&T, having AppleCare Plus protection through Total Tech Support is great. After the trade-in and Best Buy gift cards, I got my iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB in Space Black on AT&T for a net cost to me to purchase it outright for $18.25.

How were all able to checkout? I've been trying since 5am, and their site and their app kept giving me errors. Now, I can go through the verifying with the carrier, but it is not added to my cart. So frustrating.

Try going to the store. I had to go to the store because I couldn't pre-order 512GB online. The whole process took less than half an hour.

They take pre-orders in store? Good to know. I'll try that. Thanks.

Are you on the app or website? The website works better.

Make sure your cart is cleared on the vzw website. Also I used private browser mode on safari, since it was giving me errors too.

I use T-mobile, but I checked T-mobile's website anyway, and the cart was empty. I also tried private browser mode in Safari, and it gave me a new error:

Your package couldn’t be added to your cart

There was an issue adding this package to your Cart. It should only be temporary, but please wait a little while before clicking Try Again.

What a mess. Guess I'll never order through Best Buy ever again.

The cost to you was the trade value, gift cards and cash. Your out of pocket was $18.25

True. But most of the impact was absorbed prior to the out of pocket amount. I could done better by selling my 13 PM but it seemed like less of a hassle being an opportunity cost of upgrading.

My point was you made it sound like you got the iPhone for $18.25, you did not.
