Never mind the retro sound, but where is the sim tray? Not for the US customers, but yes for EU And here also with a capability for two e-sims. Oh well, I suppose Americans are not big travelers and can spend either money on roaming charges, or the whole day securing an e-sim in….say Congo. Very pro indeed.

Waiting for the iPhone dock to dual boot MacOS Ventura as a desktop.
Sadly it’s still lightning port so no display and hd connections.

Write to Apple and ask if they can offer the option of purchasing an iPhone with a SIM tray. Like what Sony does with their PS5. Maybe Apple will charge customers $10 extra :D

I'm not gonna upgrade ip14 pro max just for the startup sound - this can be done for all iPhone obviously via software update feature.

Once you switch on the ip - oooh lovely startup sound and after that you'll simply forgot about it...

You have to laugh seeing people genuinely excited by this. Apple and their power! 👏

Has anyone seen Steve Jobs daughter describing the iPhone 14 as the same old phone? 😄

Remember, this is the daughter Steve said is very much like him and is likely to run Apple one day.
"Likely to run"? Is she currently involved with the company?

No, she’s a model. Even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t stand a chance. I don’t think the family wants anything to do with day to day management of the company. They are rich for life and happy with the legacy Steve left.

This reminds me of the BBM Ping sound. I'd like it to be a more "airy" and "epic" of a sound, and less "notification" like, although it does go back in time to the 80's Mac sounds. It does have big shoes to fill though. The Macintosh boot sound is literally one of the best sounds any device has ever used to introduce itself to the individual turning it on. Sony, Nintendo, and Apple have probably the best boot sounds or at least the most memorable boot sounds for me.

Nintendo Startup Sounds

Good luck with the writing idea. It will be easier to fly to Canada for a weekend.
