iPhone XI and iPhone 11 are both equally weird. So are the other ones. I have no idea how the naming trend will continue.

It will be pronounced "eleven" regardless of how they choose to spell it.

I think the X is just for the anniversary iPhone. Why would they continue with this format instead of arabic numerals.

Is there any reason Apple shouldn’t be using numbers? I mean, they’ve only been doing it for 10 years. Point is, the highest number with the iPhone, shows the newest iPhone, and devalues the older iPhone models with the lower number. Thus, was why Apple uses the numbering system. I would say it’s equally as crucial to their marketing in that respect.

iPhone put the silly word "max" into the names if last years line up. Was a slow year for sales.

Boeing put the silly word "max" into their airplane and within months two of them nosedived to the ground killing all passengers.

When I heard the name Max before it reminded me of Nike in the 1980's, although it seemed to work OK for Nike... I would not wear Nike stuff, that is for chavs

New iPhone Xs-R Plus -Pro - Air - Mini 2 - Best iPhone we ever made / best iPhone yet / 3x faster (Codenamed Courage).

That's what it will be called.

Of course they will also have the New iPhone Xs-R -Pro - Air - Mini 2 - Best iPhone we ever made / best iPhone yet / 3x faster ... you know the non plus version :D.

Don't quote me as I think I forgot a Max somewhere....

You would have to be incredible simple to get confused by iPhone naming standards.

Apple should never have called the iPhone X the iPhone X they should have just called it the iPhone 10, they always have to ruin a good naming

Meaning it's completely obvious what this year's new model's name will be (and which models will even be there)?

They haven't been announced so there's nothing to talk about yet.

There’s no association with Apple using the moniker ‘Max’ and slow sales. Slow sales would’ve happened no matter if Apple would have named it the “iPhone Biggest”. The iPhone sales slowed due to too high of an inflation and market saturation. Although, usually Apple has decent marketing, but I do agree that Max seems kind of not well thought out for that specific 6.5 iPhone.

Seems like that's something different from the earlier statement.

And of course a discussion speculating on wha the name might be would exist before the name is announced. It wouldn't really make sense otherwise.

People named Max would disagree with you.

My name isn’t Max, it’s Errin, but that’s beside the point.
