Other iPhone 14 Pro 9/23 Postal Service Delivery Date with early preorder - update here please

Ordered a purple 14 Pro for my wife right when the store opened and got a 9/23 delivery date with the 8 nearby Apple stores having in store pickup available on 9/16. I ordered a 14 Pro Max for myself 3 minutes later and have a 9/16 delivery date via "standard shipping".

I'm unsure if this is an error or if their inventory was depleted that fast (highly unlikely as there are people who ordered at 5:01 AM that still got the 9/23 delivery date). As fun as the preorder thread is, I'd like to see updates from other people in the same boat as me in this thread

I was in this boat and just got a UPS 9/16 notification with a 0.40kg package coming from China

I just got charged the tax on the 9/23 phone about an hour ago and it went from processing to preparing to ship. Signs are pointing towards a 9/16 arrival!

Thanks for starting this thread, I ordered a Space Black 14 Pro 256 within about 4 minutes of the Apple Store coming back online (via Apple Store App) and had the same USPS message and September 23rd delivery date. The taxes were charged to my account this morning, and the order status has updated to Preparing to Ship.

Based on that experience, I chose to order my wife’s phone (14 Pro Deep Purple 256) via our carrier’s app, and it has a delivery date of September 16th. Taxes for it were also charged to my account this morning.

Fingers crossed here for September 16th delivery of both phones!

I ordered as soon as the store opened a Deep Purple Pro Max 256 and I think I saw a 16 pickup but didn't realize or maybe it didn't say 9/23 until I completed the order, which took about 2-3 minutes total with Verizon verification and accepting terms and conditions, etc. I was surprised to see the 9/23 date and "by Postal Service" and am still holding out hope for a 9/16 delivery. I suppose the stock of that config could have slipped a week that quickly, but I'm optimistic that it is more a case of underpromise / overdeliver that Apple is hedging against issues but then able to surprise customers with that launch day delivery. I haven't seen or tried checking any tracking sites to see if UPS has my order, etc. Still unclear on the "by Postal Service" as I've never received an iPhone via USPS.

ordered a 14 pro max and expected ship date is the 23rd but att updated saying ready to ship. hopefully it’ll come earlier. What do you guys think?
