Is anyone else dropping calls with a new iPhone 14 Pro Max? I have Verizon and live in an area with great reception. Twice in the last 2 days I've been on a call and it disconnects and I get a call failed screen. Then it shows zero bars and I have to toggle Airplane mode to reset the cell signal. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Does this occur when using a cell tower elsewhere ?
I ask because mine shows 3-4 bars of LTE for Verizon at my home location but no data connectivity possible unless I’m on wifi. I have to route calls via Wi-Fi calling. It was like this on my 13 Pro max as well.

Havent had a chance to try it elsewhere yet, this just started last night. Never had a problem before, and never had an issue until last night, I have had the 14 Pro Max since launch day. Thinking maybe a 16.0.2 issue perhaps? Not really sure.

I have Verizon and it's affecting my iPhone 13 Pro Max as well so this is a iOS 16 issue maybe in combo with the Verizon network. Never happened before this update .

Interesting, so same exact issue as I am having? Failed calls in perfect signal areas and then the bars going down to zero and having to reset with Airplane mode?

Had the same problem multiple times yesterday (Sunday) -- iPhone 14 Pro Max on Verizon. For me, the cellular service reset without toggling airplane mode, but calls kept failing after a forced restart. Updated to 16.0.2 on Friday, but hadn't used cellular calling much until yesterday.

It would seem that on Verizon at least, with new iphone 14 pro max mostly MANY people are having this issue.

My 14PM is as good as my 13PM and I do not believe I have had a dropped call in over a year. Most of my customers and friends do text now except for a “few friends” who insist on always calling, no matter what time it is 😵‍💫

My 14 PM is dropping calls still in Virginia on Verizon. Apple sent me a new phone no luck and Apple support and Verizon support have no answers.

This has been an issue with Verizon since the launch of the 12 pro/max line. There are hundreds and hundreds of posts online about it. Has to do with the 5G build out I believe. Apple blames Verizon, Verizon blames Apple. I have used both Att and Verizon where I live and Att was far better. Won't be staying with Verizon much longer. I can't even hold a signal to stream music driving thru two towns where Att was flawless.

Are we sure this is not a Verizon network issue nationwide? When I have very sluggish data performance on my iphone 14 Pro Max I have been comparing it to my 5g iPad and it also has the same poor performance. Verizon network is very overloaded since they have been selling use of their towers to Spectrum subscribers. During very early morning hours when almost nobody is using their phones calls and data work great here. Tells me it is network loading.

People here had similar problems with iPhone 12 and 13 Pros. Left Verizon and went to ATT and all the problems went away. Verizon network is severely overloaded and malfunctions even with strong signal.

Yes I was one of those. I unfortunately had to go back to Verizon recently and it is absolutely miserable

I believe the overload is occurring because Spectrum has signed up a lot of people for service at a lower cost and uses the Verizon network.

I wish I had more info on why it happens but boy is it bad! Verizon used to be THE provider. Think they could be the worst now.

I started an account with a fresh new 14 Pro (non max) and decided to try VZW ... very disappointing in the NYC area. Slower and ultimately not as much ping as TMo... I returned after a week and ported to ATT
