Been getting a stutter when closing out app to go to home page. Anyone else having the problem. Doesn’t do it all the time but doesn’t pretty often.

Been noted dozens of times elsewhere. And its still not fixed with 16.0.2.

Thank god for this thread. I was almost ready to go through the hassle of replacing my iPhone 14 Pro Max at the Apple Store. This issue really gets to me, as it makes this iPhone the worst I have ever used, and yet it was the most expensive. This needs fixed and fast, or I feel like switching to a different iPhone model or getting rid of the phone entirely.

updating to 16.0.3 seems to have fixed the problem.

Every year since 2018 when XS / XR started stuttering. Funnily enough I don't have it on my iOS16 XR, it's been smooth for me but every year there is the same stuttergate thread, probably something to do with the silicon.

It goes away for a bit after a reboot then comes back. I don’t know why Apple can’t fix this.

So I’m not 100% on this just yet, but yesterday I reinstalled iOS 16.1 using an IPSW file and I’ve yet to see the stutter return.

It can take a couple of days after an install or a reboot to show up.
