I have noticed several times (not always) that the screen brightness of my IPhone 14 Pro Max dims too fast in some occurrences.
For instance today I was outside and I went in a restaurant while I was watching my phone. I noticed the brightness went down super quickly from bright withe to warmer “yellow” within a sec. Gave me the same impression than when you switch a light on and off va. using a dimmer. It was not smooth at all. I have only noticed it when going from brighter to darker not the opposite.
Anyone else?

Edit: I think it is True Tone acting up…

I'm assuming you're referring to the Auto-Brightness setting that's (buried) under Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. My 13PM has the opposite behavior. When I go from a dark room to a bright room, it instantly starts increasing the brightness. But if I go from a light room to a dark room, there's like a 10 second delay before it starts to decrease the brightness, and it seems to decrease at a slower rate than it increases.

But I honestly wouldn't mind if it were an instantaneous jump up or down.

It just did it now. It is the morning here. A bit dark at home. When I woke my iPhone the screen was surprisingly bright and within a second boom it dimmed to I would say its normal color… I guess another iOS 16 bug. I have never seen or experienced myself such a buggy released!

Actually I think it tue tone acting up. Switching from blue to yellowish tone too fast.
