Just got the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I noticed that during video when zooming in, the transition to the 3X lens gives a jerk. See attached video.

Anyone else getting this? I spoke to apple they said it might be related to 16.0.1 that was just pushed to the new phones. Honestly not really sure if its a hardware issue with lens/camera or software. Hopefully it's just a software issue.

Just updated to 16.0.2 and unfortunately still getting the zoom Jerk at 3X lens when transitioning. I also noticed it happens in bright setting near window or outdoors at daytime. At night or low light I don't notice it. Here is a video after the update.

Yes it’s HW issue. You have separate lenses with separate sensors. Software tries to do a smooth transition between the lenses.
would be fixed with a telezoom cam.

Yeah, you’re transitioning from tele lens to wide lens. It might be something they can “somewhat” smooth out with software. Submit feedback.
