- Upgraded from iPhone 12 Pro to iPhone 14 Pro
- Screen sometimes feels “stickier,” fingers seem to drag when swiping 12 Pro (not animations but tactile feeling when moving any finger across the screen)
- Have used a slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the screen
- Happens frequently enough and doesn’t seem tied to any specific change to my hands such as being recently washed

1. Is this a normal phenomenon with new phones that I’ve forgotten about?
2. Is this something anyone else has experienced specific to the 14 Pro?
3. Is this a symptom of my OCD? (Real, not just self-diagnosed to be clear)

Thanks for reading

You are not alone...i have the same experience and its annoying because i play mobile games that use a virtual joystick and its making those games almost unplayable. screen protector will probably be the only fix

I’ve had this issue with past iPhones. I always use a tempered glass protector to avoid this. Because the display is perfectly flat, the tempered glass protectors look like they’re not even there. Lint can accumulate at the edges though.

I read a common here that excessive stickiness means the oleo phobic coating didn’t cure properly.

The sides and sometimes the back feel this way for me as well. Added a case, but now it feels too heavy. Anyone had any luck finding an aluminum or titanium bumper that doesnt have the "lifters" on the back? I hate those haha.

I noticed it with my new iPad Pro, I think it's the oleophobic coating. It wore down eventually.

You can always lube your fingers.
