As we inch closer to the holidays, supply of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models remains heavily constrained and unlikely to meet the holiday demand in the United States. On the flip side, several other products, including iPads, Macs, lower-end iPhone models, AirPods, and more, remain available for customers who are holiday shopping this year.

As we reported last month, supply constraints and ongoing restrictions in Apple's production plants meant that iPhone 14 Pro supply would be critically low. "We now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated, and customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products," Apple said in a press release last month, confirming reports of disruptions.

One month later and closer to the holidays, iPhone 14 Pro supply seems to have not yet fully recovered. Wait times for both models of the high-end 2022 iPhone series were set at around six weeks one month ago, and are now set at around three weeks. While the situation appears to be ever so slightly improving, the three-week wait time puts the iPhone 14 Pro out of reach for customers looking to have it by the holidays.

While you may be unable to order and get an iPhone 14 Pro for a loved one this holiday season, the rest of Apple's product lineup remains in ample supply. For example, the lower-end iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are estimated to arrive to customers in just a few days, according to Apple's online store, as are the third-generation AirPods and AirPods Pro, new 10th-generation iPad, certain Macs, Apple Watch, and HomePod mini.

For more up-to-date information regarding availability and delivery dates, be sure to check Apple's website.

Best avoided to be fair. In 9 months there will be a new Pro with an all new design, lighter materials, telescopic lens and USB C.

Hang on to your current phone for a bit longer and you won’t regret it!
Better yet in 3 months we will have a newer updated iPhone color like Alpine Green last year.

Hang on some more, and you will get even a better iPhone 16 Pro!
People buy iPhones (not only, though) because they want them now and here.
And one can easily trade in and upgrade next year with minimum cost.

You may be joking, but that’s what I was considering. I don’t “need” a replacement now. Not at all.

However, Ive been considering switching to a Pro Max, and going without a case for the first time. Problem is that I don’t like the colours this year. I wish the purple was a tad lighter!!! They did green last year, so I’m thinking maybe it’s time they released a dark red, or maybe bronze? A brighter blue?

Waiting on a phone with unconfirmed rumored features, instead of getting the phone you want is rather foolish, in my opinion. Chasing tech to have the latest features is an exercise in futility. If you want the 14 Po, get the 14 pro. There is always new tech coming out. So what if you have to wait a few weeks to get the phone you claim to want.

Buying someone a phone feels like gifting someone a washing machine. A £1000+ utilitarian device doesn’t seem like a common present.

If someone's washing machine is worn out or broken or they don't have one, a washing machine is an excellent gift.

I wouldn't do it every year but every few years when a particularly close family member needed a phone, I have bought them as birthday gifts. They spend nearly every waking hour using it, seems like a good gift to me.

Also, far too many people don't know that you can just buy an iPhone and don't have to torture yourself by dealing with getting it through a network operator.

Still using my iPhone X, anything I get from here on out will be a quantum leap.

Adding that there’s weak iPhone 14 demand so Apple is likely to reduce production further.

Best to avoid the one coming out in 9 months. 12 months after that, there will be a new Pro.

See how ridiculous that sounds?

Yes like I'm so sick already of the Lexus commercials

If it weren't for the fact the iPhone 14 Plus uses the Lightning port, I would have bought the 512 GB version by now.
I would be very surprised if the iPhone 15 uses USB-C seeing how the law in the EU goes into effect after the iPhone 15 will be launched so they could get away with another year of lightning.
