I just wanted to say that when I got my magsafe battery for my iPhone 12 Pro when it came out last year, was not impressed and thought it sucked compared to other comparable ones because you need to have the iphone on rest mode for it to actually charge since it would discharge your battery when it use.

Not with the iphone 14 pro, as a matter of fact, it feels like a new device and it actually holds the charge and charges as it should now! Have not had zero problems at all, all things considered to be honest, i’m impressed and loving the new life on this battery. just a small heads up, because the difference between devices is night and day between phones.

Worth noting, that battery got a firmware update in Spring of this year so it now charges faster. It now is 7.5W on the go. Same maximum as any third party. But uniquely, it can also up the speed to 15w if plugged in.

Lastly, important to note Apple programmed it as a smart battery extender. It does not try to charge the phone back to 100%, but rather tops off at around 90% because it is way more efficient.

im a fan.

I picked up the Apple Magsafe Battery last week to have with me in a pinch with my 14 Pro Max.

Waiting for it to update firmware patiently... I don't have a Macbook to force it... not a fan on the could take 'up to a week' to update, with no real explanation on how/when it happens on its own. I keep it attached most of my day just to see if it will update. Nothing yet!

That said, it'll be more for times when I'm gone all day and getting low on battery.

Yeah I forced it via iPad. They should allow forced updates for it and Airpods but alas.

Exactly!! But you can also enable it to charge to 100% from the low power menu every time you connect it!

That’s what I thought. I got mine last year, and it would get me back in good standing with the battery, but it would never go to 100%.
