Should be a decent upgrade from iPhone 14. But definitely hoping for brighter colours with the 16. Colours on the 15 are very pale/washed out.

I’m using iPhone 13 and don’t feel the need to change. There isn’t a single new feature that makes me go ah that’s cool or that’s gonna be useful. Worse I don’t desire apples shiny new iPhone cos the design is still 12’s. Android phone makers are definitely trying harder.
They are really holding off 48 MP on all cameras and 1” sensor on the main. They know after that point there’ll be nothing they can give customers next year and then it’s game over. Screens are already perfect. FaceID is imperfect but they won’t bring TouchID back. They are even downgrading battery on the Plus model now just so they can upgrade it again next year.

iPhone sales will plummet in a few years. Market is too mature.

Apple milking yet another year of a dual camera system on a £800-£1200 iPhone. Let that sink in a minute.

Moving the camera back to a vertical orientation after a 3 year break and not introducing a triple system is quite frankly absurd when you see what others are providing in this price bracket.

I know they have to feature strip it to some degree to justify the Pro models but come on, it’s time to give a bit more for the money that they are charging now.

Well interesting article I have a regular 14 myself and have no plans to upgrade to the 16 I’m more interested in what will go down with the iPhone 17 instead!

I’m using iPhone 13 mini and honestly have no plans to upgrade anytime soon. My partner might upgrade from the 11, but still not sure as it works perfectly. The only thing that would be nice is to have the USB-C port to streamline charging with all other devices we have at home. But paying for a new phone just for a port, nah thanks. And no, the cameras are not the deciding factor in our household since we use standalone professional cameras.

14 Plus Apple financing 2 years ago - ending at the same time 16 Plus is coming out this year.

Good timing and reason to upgrade....

Gosh, I hope between now and September we compare the upcoming iPhone 16 to every iPhone ever made to see how they stack up 😄

I’m on a 12Pro was hoping 16pro would have an even better Tele lens and no notch… but dont think I can wait until 17. Every 4 years for me is a good upgrade cycle for me, by then battery will be tired and trade in value is not completely gone.

What about an iPhone 16 mini? I have an iPhone 13 mini and would like to upgrade, but I'm willing to wait if a new mini with better specifications isn't coming out. I want a phone I can operate with one hand and that doesn't take up too much space.

I upgraded from 12 Pro to 15 Pro and I love the Dynamic Island. So useful.

In the same boat as you. I am holding out hope that we will receive something less than 6.1" phone, but I am afraid the smallest we are going to get from now on is 6.1" It's absolutely ridiculous.

They should bring the updated iPhone SE ( Single camera iPhone 14 with A18 ) next year at $499.

And bring back the iPhone SE Mini in spring 2026 for $399.

I hope the Pro goes up to $1099 starting with 256GB

iPhone 16 Plus $899 with 256GB.
Why would you want it to start at a higher price? So many people with iPhones don't even use 128 GB and if they do it is cheaper to pay for iCloud. I prefer $999 so I could buy it on day 1 and sell it back by July or August for around $850-999 before the new iPhone launch.
