Well take in mind that a compressed jpeg is going to look bad or worse in most cases anyway, especially in low light, if there is camera shake, if the exposure is off, or too high of an ISO where noise reduction is applied more heavily. The lower the ISO used the better when shooting in jpeg. I always shoot RAW anyway, but I understand RAW isn’t for everyone. I choose it because I want the best quality from my photos. I started using a digital camera in 2001 when the Nikon D1x came out. It’s been a great journey and the iPhone 14 Pro max with the 48mp camera was a dream come true for me. So much detail in my shots. I have two iPhones, both are the 14 pro max Gold, 1TB. Both cameras are identical in resolution and quality.
I’m sorry that some of you think the camera is bad. Could it be bad technique or knowledge of the camera itself? I definitely don’t know what skill level you are all at, but I’d like to help if I can. I need a good explanation for some of the photos that have been taken and considered bad so I can try to duplicate the scenario. If there is a specific photo you folks want me to take in jpeg, then let me know. Photography is my passion and I’ve been a photographer for a long time. Here are some of my samples:
All shot in ProRAW and edited in Lightroom mobile on the iPhone.
