Hello,

Just received my iPhone 14PM a few days ago. Everything is working fine with a screen protector that had a whole where the Dynamic Island is.
I then replaced the case with a privacy protector is one full piece with no hole on the DI. Now Face ID is funny - it works 90% of the time, but a few times the Face ID animation just moves and moves. I have to try unlocking/doing something again to make it work.

What made me doubt that it is from the screen protector is that it works anyway - just some lagging at a few times.
Obviously rebooted, turned off Attention, etc.

Anyone facing something similar?

No issues here. If anything face ID is faster than my 13 Pro Max.

If a screen protector has a privacy filter, then that means is directing light so it may not allow the camera to properly focus. Maybe look for one with the cut out for Face ID

Update:

Yes, it was the privacy full-screen protector. Apparently the dark tint does get in the way of the Face ID sensors.

I got a privacy screen protector - with a transparent section on top of the Face ID sensors, and it works perfect.

Even better, get a protector with a cutout for the selfie and Face ID section.

I’m using a screen protector with no cutout and Face ID works great.
