I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It's been a good device since I got it, with one exception - I often get the dreaded lens flare green dot on pictures. That ruins enough photos that I'm looking at the upcoming 15s to see if this issue has been fixed with them.

Has it been? Or does the 15 line continue to have this same defect?

Thanks.

Or, maybe someone here has enough advanced knowledge of camera hardware to offer an insight? There's been a lot of discussion on the Web about how great the updated camera capabilities are in the 15s, and there are a lot of reports that this flare issue is common in other models, but I haven't seen anything about how or if the 15s would address it. It's not too early to ask that. But if it isn't fixed, I won't get a new 15.

It is not a camera it is a lens - separate entity. So far no news on new lens being used thus waiting advice is the best. You don’t need to buy day 1.

Let me simplify this this some...

Does the upcoming 15 fix the problem of the green dot on pictures?

Better?

Highly unlikely

it’s not expected to have lens coating. Only Vivo is known for having no lens flare for photos

Thank you! It's too bad if this issue is not fixed. But I can't justify spending this kind of money on a device that still has a known flaw in that that has pestered me for years.

Sadly seems to be a known flaw with smartphone cameras overall

Tried looking at it in my crystal ball but it was all distorted.

Since the iPhone 12, 13, 14 Pro Max, they solved this problem.
It´s a green dot (like a flare) that in the 11 Pro Max lens was very noticeable in the pictures.
