iPhone 15 easily overheating

Hi folks,

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 12 to a brand new iPhone 15 256gb. Currently with the summertime (around 30C -85 F) especially while using it in the car with Waze. after 10 min it shows up a message that the phone is overheated it needs to cool down and the screen gets black.

Also at home when I’m using it while charging it gets also overheated

Did anyone experienced something similar? Any advice?

Each year my latest Pro Max model, including my current iPhone 16 Pro Max run hot.

I skipped the 17 PM even though it’s supposed to run cooler with the addition of a vapor chamber.

The only time my 15 Pro Max gets really toasty is when I am charging it in my car with a USB cable. It does get a little warm when I am using the phone while I am sitting in my car during my lunch break, with the brightness set to max so I can see the screen more easily. Then I notice the screen gets a bit dimmer, which defeats the purpose of me setting the brightness to max.

Mine gets hotter, in the car, based on where it is sun, shade, seat. Try moving it around or get a phone holder that clamps into the a/c vent. My son uses the a/c vent holder with great results

This happened to me today. Carplay was acting weird when my iPhone is connected to my car. Carplay dropped to car's default display and restored to Carplay within a moment, causing my iPhone to overheat. Battery power dropped very fast from 85% to 15% within 2 hours.
