This is hilarious to me because my launch day 14 Pro Max is at 90% battery capacity. The batteries on the 14 series suck.
From what I'm seeing this affects mostly Max models. From what I know, the bigger batteries are made by Sunwoda. Meanwhile the smaller batteries found in Pro are by Desay. My day one 14P is still at 100% (Desay battery in 3uTools).

Analysts: We're seeing this specific manufacturing issue, with this specific supplier, due to this specific change in the phones this year

MacRumors: "Same thing every year" 🙄

Yep, then the same crowd complains about getting a late October delivery date when they put their iPhone order in.

Why didn’t Apple stock up more units??

LG makes great OLED tv's but I guess don't wanna be caught with an LG panel in your iPhone seems their mobile screens are well behind Shamedung
People tend to forget that LG Electronics and LG Display are not one and the same. The same goes for Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display.
LG Electronics > Samsung Electronics.
LG Display < Samsung Display.

You know why they put out the same rumor every year? To make the phone appear more special then it is, to drive up the demand...because people fall for it every single time..."I got the latest iphone and you dont and its rare" and everyone else then tries to get it to feel special too and thus they sell more!

Well i don't plan to order the 15 Pro Max until the end of September I just hope they will have it around that time.

I am seriously considering just skipping the iPhone 15 considering much of what was rumored for it is now rumored for iPhone 16 (if not iPhone 17) and my iPhone 14 Pro Max still is 110% capable of meeting every one of my needs.

Even though I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program so my monthly rate could be the same (unless Apple does raise the base price as rumored), it would still save me the 10% sales tax hit plus the fee AT&T charges every time I upgrade.

My mini was 88% at 7 months and Apple ran diagnostics remotely and said it was normal. I was not happy with that answer. That’s an eighth of the battery capacity for a near $1000 device at just half a year old.

According to The Information, Apple suppliers are using a new display manufacturing process to shrink the bezel size, and it is causing problems with displays made by LG Display. Apple had a similar problem with the Apple Watch Series 7 display size increase in 2019, and that device was delayed by about a month.
The Information articles are about trustworthy as DigiTimes. Just take in their claims with pessimism.

If the supply constraints are as bad as they say, then plan to order it like a couple of hours after launch so you can have a late September delivery window.
