Not sure if this should go in iOS17 or here but anyone else finding their iPhone 15 screen is suddenly too dim? The phone is not hot, auto brightness is off, tried hard restarting. Had it over a week and its been very noticeable the past couple of days.

The odd thing is this, if I screenshot the display it flicks to full brightness just before the white screen flash but immediately returns to its dimmer state after.

loathed to do a full restore but I literally cant think of anything else to try.

Its not as obvious on camera but here is my iPhone 13 Pro on the left and 15 pro on the right, both on full brightness

I found the issue. Awks. I had turned on 'zoom' in accessibility to see what it did. In that section is a field called 'zoom filter' it was set to low light. Changed it to None and boom, back to normal. Luckily this was before I did a full reset
