I plan to upgrade my iPhone 12 Pro Max to iPhone 15 Pro Max. The only issue I have is the elimination of sim tray on the US version of iPhone 15 series.

Plan to pre order online and travel to Canada in the last week of September to bring back from the Apple store in Canada.

Has anyone done this before? Any issues?

I may be able to bring back 1-2 extra. Let me know if you are interested in one.

You may have issues if yours is a credit card from the States. That have flagged that attempt many times.

Have a friend or relative in Canada put it on their card and pickup. Or go to the store and pay by cash. Many did it that way. I should say I believe it was cash - but don’t hold me to that.

Otherwise buy from Bestbuy up here. All are unlocked unless you want a carrier.

hey are you still going?

I will buy from you

a natural titanium 15 pro mx with 1TB

You will need to just buy it when you are there, you won't be able to order online without a Canadian credit card and address. I bought mine on ebay. I did the same thing last year with the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Just a data point. I ordered the phones on the first pre order day with a US credit card. I picked them up at Apple store a few days ago. So, it worked for me.

Nice. I've tried it before, was going to drive to Windsor from Chicago, but couldn't get an order to take.

Yes, I was lucky. Got one extra, 15 Pro Max 256 GB Blue. Would be happy to sell to anyone who needs.

So...I'm guessing a carrier couldn't do this either. Like for instance, if I ask my Verizon store to order me up a deep purple 14 Pro Max with a nano SIM card tray, they wouldn't be able to do it here in the US? I wish they could. Annoys me that one can't get a SIM tray here in the US without having to travel outside the country or have one offered up on eBay or somewhere like that to get one.

Hey, Just find your thread. Did you buy iPhone 15 Pro Max successfully online and pick up in Canada with sim tray?

thanks for your feedback
